<br />LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 16, 1992 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:32 P.M. by President Jerry <br />Bramlett. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: President Jerry Bramlett, Member Bob <br />Blackwell, Member Al Fields and Member Rodney Etchberger <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Bob Herrera, City Manager, Steve Gillett, <br />Director of Public Works, Buddy Jacobs, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works, Jeff Litchfield, Director of Finance, and Mayor <br />Plaumann of Shoreacres. <br />2. Minutes from the regular meeting held February 18, 1992 were <br />read. Al Fields made motion to approve the minutes as read and <br />seconded by Rodney Etchberger. Motion unanimous. Mayor Plaumann <br />asked if Shoreacres was contacted in regard to Item 3. Jeff <br />Litchfield said he had contacted Ms. Browning and she said they <br />had no problems. <br />3. Robert Herrera discussed the "catchup" payment to the City of <br />Houston. He stated that due to the May meeting being cancelled <br />due to a lack of a quorum, the payment had already been made. <br />Steve Gillett discussed the invoice and stated staff recommends <br />payment. Steve Gillett answered several questions regarding the <br />contractor's defaulting on the project. Al Fields made motion to <br />authorize payment, seconded by Rodney Etchberger. Motion was <br />unanimous. <br />4. The budget for FY 92-93 for the LPAWA was discussed by Robert <br />Herrera. He outlined the procedure for the budget proposal with <br />the new board members and the Mayor of Shoreacres. <br />Robert Herrera and Jeff Litchfield discussed the impact of taking <br />out some of the capitalized interest from the bond series and <br />trying to spread it aut to the LPAWA advantage. <br />Steve Gillett answered several questions regarding the budget and <br />the different account numbers used. <br />Motion made by Bob Blackwell to approve the FY 92-93 Operating <br />Budget as presented, seconded by Al Fields. Motion unanimous. <br />5. Robert Herrera ana. Steve Gillett discussed the negotiations to <br />lower the overhead costs of City of Houston. Steve Gillett <br />discussed an interim audit for the SEWPP as requested by the co- <br />participants. <br />
