• <br />LA FORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 21, 1994 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:28 P.M. by the Vice <br />President Rodney J. Etchberger. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Vice President Rodney J. Etchberger, <br />Secretary/Treasurer Albert Fields, and Member James Sweeton. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: President Jerry Bramlett <br />OTHERS PRESENT: John Joerns, Assistant City Manager and Steve <br />Gillett, Director of Public Works. <br />2. The minutes from the regular meeting held March 29, 1994 were <br />read. Motion made by James Sweeton to accept as read and seconded <br />by Al Fields. Motion was unanimous. <br />3. The oath of office was administered to member James Sweeton by <br />Vice President Rodney J. Etchberger. <br />4. Motion was made by James Sweeton and seconded by Al Fields to <br />approve the "catch-up" payment through March 31, 1994, to the <br />City of Houston in the amount of $27,321.86. Motion was <br />unanimous. <br />5. Motion made by Al Fields and seconded by James Sweeton to approve <br />the option to renew the Operator's Agreement between the City of <br />La Porte and the Authority. Motion was unanimous. Al Fields <br />requested staff to check on bidding requirements. <br />6. Motion made by Al Fields and seconded by James Sweeton to approve <br />the FY 94-95 La Porte Area Water Authority budget. Motion was <br />unanimous. <br />7. Steve Gillett discussed the most recent co-participant's meeting <br />held at the South East Water Purification Plant. Items covered <br />included the proposed expansion and the most recent quarterly <br />billing. <br />
