Herrera distributed a memo outlining possible dates <br />for the annual retreat, and requested feedback from the Board in the near future. <br />Potential topics include an update of the financial condition of the Authority to <br />purchase additional capacity, projected water needs and potential industrial <br />customers. <br />General Manager Robert T. Herrera reviewed the need for additional water by the <br />City of Morgan's Point to serve the current and potential cruise line. He outlined <br />Morgan's Point's efforts to obtain additional water through the use of Ground <br />Water Credits issued by the Subsidence District. The issue has been resolved for <br />now, but the purchase of Ground Water Credits will only provide ashort-term <br />solution. The Port of Houston, through Morgan's Point, will fiord a study to <br />determine the ability of the Authority's transmission system to deliver additional <br />water, should surface water become available. <br />7. There being no further business, motion made by Chester Pool, seconded by Al <br />Fields to adjourn.
