<br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED REGULAR MEETING OF THE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />September 22, 2008 <br /> <br />1. Call to order <br /> <br />President Pat Muston called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: Love, Muston, Clausen, Matuszak, Moser, and Beasley <br /> <br />Members/Officers Absent: Engelken <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Manager Ron Bottoms, Director of Finance Michael Dolby, Economic Development <br />Coordinator Gretchen Larson, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Assistant City Attorney Knox Askins and City <br />Attorney Knox Askins. <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> <br />2. Executive Session- pursuant to provision of the Open Meetings Law. Chapter 551 Texas Government Code, <br />Sections 551-071 through 551.076, 551.087 (consultation with attorney, deliberation regarding real property, <br />deliberation regarding prospective gift or donation, personnel matters, deliberation regarding security <br />devices, or excluding a witness during examination of another witness in an investigation, deliberation <br />regarding Economic Development Negotiations). <br /> <br />A. Section 551.087-(Economic Development Negotiations) <br /> <br />Meet with City Manager, City Attorney <br />and Economic Development <br />Coordinator to discuss term and <br />conditions of a lease agreement at 117 <br />San Jacinto <br /> <br />The Board Adjourned to Executive Session at 5:07 p.m. <br /> <br />The Board adjourned Executive Session at 5:27 p.m. <br /> <br />3. The Board returned to the table and reconvened the Special Called Regular meeting at 5:28 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no action taken in Executive Session. <br /> <br />4. Considerations and possible action related to a lease agreement between the La Porte Development <br />Corporation and East A Developments, L.P. for the location of 117 San Jacinto. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv board member Matuszak to approve the lease aqreement as presented bv staff. The <br />motion was seconded by board member Clausen. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Muston, Beasley, Clausen and Matuszak <br />Nays: Love <br />Absent: Engelken and Moser <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />5. The next Economic Development Board Meeting was set for Monday, October 6, 2008. <br /> <br />6.
