Call to order <br /> <br />President Pat Muston called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: Muston, Moser, Love, Clausen, Matuszak and Engelken <br /> <br />Members/Officers Absent: Beasley <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Manager Ron Bottoms, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Assistant City Secretary <br />Sharon Harris, Main Street Coordinator Debra Dye, Finance Director Michael Dolby, Economic Development <br />Coordinator Debbie Westbeld and Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins. <br /> <br />Others Present: Kathryn Aguilar, Phillip Hoot, Bill O'Brien (Senior Landscape Architect) and C. Daniel <br />Wardrop (Project Manager) of URS Corporation. <br /> <br />2. Consider approval of the December 1, 2008 minutes of the Special Called Regular Meeting of the La Porte <br />Development Corporation Board <br /> <br />A motion was made by Board Member Engelken to approve the December 1, 2008 minutes of the La Porte <br />Development Corporation Board. The motion was seconded by Board Member Love. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Muston, Moser, Love, Clausen, Matuszak and Engelken <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Beasley <br /> <br />3. Receive update of development of Main Street Design Guidelines: <br /> <br />Downtown Revitalization Coordinator Debra Dye presented an update on the Main Street <br />Design Guidelines <br /> <br />4. Receive updates from city staff on following projects - R. Bottoms <br /> <br />City Manager Ron Bottoms provided an update on the following: <br /> <br />EDA Grant <br />Town Plaza (presentation by C. Daniel Wardrop and Bill O'Brien of URS Corporation) <br />Gateway <br />Port Theater <br />Parks & Wildlife <br />"Alamo" Building <br />Economic Development Strategic Plan <br />Branding Campaign <br />Economic Alliance Marketing Campaign <br />
