<br />o Main Street activities <br />o New City Website <br /> <br />Ms. Westbeld provided the board with the following updates: <br /> <br />Tanks at 5 Points - the tanks have been removed and staff is waiting on the soil sample test results. The <br />City is coordinating an agreement with Garson Silvers for him to repay the city for some of the costs. <br /> <br />Gateway Project - the construction plans are 50% complete. <br /> <br />908 and 912 Buildings - a study is being completed on the flooding issues to the buildings. <br /> <br />Marketing Campaign - a brochure will be mailed for properties on Main St. <br /> <br />Restaurant Advisor - the restaurant advisor will be coming forward with some recommendation in the next <br />couple of weeks. <br /> <br />The City has hired 0 retail consultont for $20,000.00 3nd they will be using the informotion from the Buxton <br />~ <br /> <br />The City spoke with a retail consultant and the estimated their fee to be $20,000.00 and advised the City <br />they would be using the Buxton study. <br /> <br />Stacy Osborne has completed a Main Street newsletter. In addition, she will be hosting a morning coffee <br />session once a month. These are a part of her Main Street revitalization efforts. <br /> <br />The new City website has an economic development section. <br /> <br />5. Executive Session - pursuant to provision of the Open Meetings Law. Chapter 551 Texas Government Code, <br />Sections 551-071 through 551.076, 551.087 (consultation with attorney, deliberation regarding real property, <br />deliberation regarding prospective gift or donation, personnel matters, deliberation regarding security <br />devices, or excluding a witness during examination of another witness in an investigation, deliberation <br />regarding Economic Development Negotiations). <br /> <br />There was no Executive Board Meeting. <br /> <br />6. Consideration and possible action on item considered in executive session. <br /> <br />There was no action taken in the executive session. <br /> <br />7. Board Member Comments <br /> <br />A. Matter appearing on agenda <br /> <br />B. Inquiry of staff requiring a statement of specific factual information or a recitation of existing policy. <br /> <br />The board informed staff they want to meet bi-monthly unless action is otherwise needed. They will meet on <br />the first Monday of the month. If a holiday falls on Monday, they want to meet on Tuesday. <br /> <br />The next meeting is scheduled September 8,2009 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />8.
