Mr. Bottoms and Stacy Osborne provided the board with the following updates: Economic Development Sales Tax Training Seminar - Stacy Osborne reported she and Martha Gillett recently attended the TEDC training and learned a great deal of information on the projects that could be funded by the Type B La Porte Development Corporation. Sylvan Beach Shoreline Project - Ron Bottoms reported this project should be finalized by the end of the month. 912 Main - Ron Bottoms reported the Gateway is pending approval and the Christmas lights are being installed. Town Plaza - Ron Bottoms reported this project was delayed due to the weather. January 15, 2010 is the next estimated completion date. The paving is completed. The stucco, fencing, lights, electrical equipment and landscaping still need completed. 5. Executive Session - pursuant to provision of the Open Meetings Law. Chapter 551 Texas Government Code, Sections 551-071 through 551.076, 551.087 (consultation with attorney, deliberation regarding real property, deliberation regarding prospective gift or donation, personnel matters, deliberation regarding security devices, or excluding a witness during examination of another witness in an investigation, deliberation regarding Economic Development Negotiations). There was no Executive Session. 6. Board Member Comments - President Pat Muston inquired as to whether or not the board could make a contribution to the Battleship Texas.
