Call to Order <br />Board member Engelken called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. The following members of the <br />La Porte Development Corporation Board were present: Board members Zemanek, Woodard, <br />Clausen, Ojeda. Absent: President Warren and Vice -President Cooksley <br />Staff Present: Corby Alexander, Traci Leach, Patrice Fogarty, Michael Dolby and Assistant City <br />Attorney Clark Askins. <br />2. Consider approval of Minutes of the La Porte Development Corporation Board held on April 22, <br />2013 — P. Fogarty <br />Board member Zemanek moved to approve the minutes as presented. Board member Clausen <br />seconded. MOTION PASSED. <br />Ayes: Board members Woodard, Engelken, Zemanek, Clausen and <br />Ojeda <br />Nays None <br />Absent: President Warren and Vice -President Cooksley <br />3. Receive presentation from Catalyst Commercial regarding a retail and market study — S. Livingston <br />Jason Claunch, with Catalyst Commercial, presented an update to the retail and market. <br />Board member Clausen questioned that if nail and hair salons are categorized as "dominant," are <br />restaurants also categorized as dominant? Mr. Claunch responded hair and nail salons were the <br />highest represented category in the survey. <br />4. Consider approval or other action awarding a grant amount not to exceed $15,256.00 for Aubry <br />Sartori, owner of Stepping Stone Funeral Home — S. Livingston <br />Economic Development Coordinator Scott Livingston presented a summary. <br />Ms. Aubry Sartori addressed Board members and requested approval of a grant amount correlating <br />to the higher bid from Bay Area Paint and Tile for approval by Board members. <br />Board member Ojeda moved to award a grant amount not to exceed $16,000.00 for Aubry Sartori, <br />owner of Stepping Stone Funeral Home.
