Livingston <br /> Economic Development Coordinator Scott Livingston presented a summary. <br /> Board member Martin moved to designate the La Porte Enhancement Grant Program as a project for <br /> FY 2016 not to exceed $250,000.00. Board member Ojeda seconded. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION <br /> (a) Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed Request for Proposal for professional <br /> services for a Multi-Use Civic Center in the City of La Porte—S. Livingston <br /> Economic Development Coordinator Scott Livingston presented a summary and provided information <br /> on a proposed 20-acre mixed-use development to be located north of the northeast corner of Wharton <br /> Weems Blvd., and Hwy-146, that is also proposed to include a full service hotel with a conference <br /> center. Mr. Livingston also advised the project will be presented to the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission on Thursday, November 19, 2015 and can have an impact on the proposed Request for <br /> Proposal for professional services for a Multi-Use Civic Center in the City of La Porte. Mr. Livingston <br /> advised Board members they can consider sending out the proposed request for proposal; make <br /> revisions to the proposed request for proposal, or consider partnering with the developer of the <br /> proposed 20-acre mixed-use development to be located north of the northeast corner of Wharton <br /> Weems Blvd., and Hwy-146. <br /> Board member Woodard asked if the developer has land under contract. Mr. Livingston responded <br /> the 20-acres are under contract for purchase. <br /> Board member Martin suggested waiting until the proposed 20-acre mixed-use development is <br /> presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 19, 2015. Board members agreed <br /> to bring the proposed Request for Proposal for professional services for a Multi-Use Civic Center <br /> back on December 14, 2015. <br /> 6.
