CALL TO ORDER —President Warren called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the <br />time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no comments. <br />3. CONSENT AGENDA <br />a. Approve the minutes of the July 25, 2022, regular meeting and the August 2, 2022, special <br />meeting of the La Porte Development Corporation Board of Directors. [Chair Warren] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2022, regular meeting and the <br />August 2, 2022, special meeting; the motion was seconded by Member Earp: the motion was <br />adopted, 7-0. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARING AND ASSOCIATED MATTERS <br />a. The La Porte Development Corporation Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to hear <br />comment on proposed 508 West Main Street Project -'State Farm', a project to promote and <br />develop new and expanded business enterprises, specifically for site, infrastructure, and <br />related improvements in connection with the renovation and construction of facilities at 508 <br />West Main Street, to be operated as a commercial office building, which location is legally <br />described as Lot 20, Block 56 of Town of La Porte, in a total amount not to exceed <br />$30,000.00; followed by discussion and possible action to authorize the following project of <br />the La Porte Development Corporation: 508 West Main Street Project - 'State Farm', in an <br />amount not to exceed $30,000.00. [Matt Daeumer, Assistant City Manager] <br />Chair Warren opened the public hearing at 5:01 p.m. There were no public comments.
