Vice <br />President Ojeda called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the <br />time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no comments. <br />3. CONSENT AGENDA <br />a. Approve minutes of the regular meeting of the LaPorte Development Corporation Board of <br />Directors meeting held on August 22, 2022. [Chair Warren] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of the La Porte <br />Development Corporation Board of Directors meeting held on August 22, 2022: the motion was <br />seconded by Member Warren: the motion was adopted, 7-0. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARING AND ASSOCIATED MATTERS <br />a. The La Porte Development Corporation Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to <br />receive comments on a proposed project to promote and develop new and expanded <br />business enterprises, providing for site, infrastructure and related improvements in <br />connection with the construction of the Revak Building at 114 W. Main Street in La Porte, to <br />be operated as a commercial and residential facility, in an amount not to exceed <br />$390,600.00; followed by discussion and possible action to authorize a project of the La <br />Porte Development Corporation to promote and develop new and expanded business <br />enterprises, providing for site, infrastructure and related improvements in connection with <br />the construction of the Revak Building at 114 W. Main Street in La Porte, Texas, to be <br />operated as a commercial and residential facility, and providing for a financial incentive <br />grant in an amount not to exceed $390,600.00 to R Favorite Things, LLC.
