<br />Taylor Bayou Watershed Master Drainage Plan <br /> <br />. Evaluate downstream conditions and increased runoff from planned future development. <br /> <br />. Reduce the risk of flooding and drainage problems from planned future development in <br />the watershed <br /> <br />· Identify regional flood reduction measures such as channels, detention ponds, new <br />bridges/culvert structures, storm sewer systems, or other stormwater management <br />activities that will serve the future drainage needs in the watershed. <br /> <br />· Coordinate closely with the City of La Porte and Harris County to accommodate the <br />drainage needs for future roadway projects within the watershed. <br /> <br />· Consider multi-use opportunities such as parks and trails within the recommended flood <br />control measures. <br /> <br />This MDP presents a technical analysis of the potential impacts to Taylor Bayou (HCFC Unit <br />AI04-00-00) from the development of the TIRZ and the Taylor Bayou Watershed within the <br />City of La Porte. This report also presents an analysis of the required detention facilities to <br />mitigate the potential impacts. <br /> <br />2.1 Project Location <br /> <br />This MDP is for the TIRZ within the Taylor Bayou Watershed within the City of La Porte. The <br />limits of the improvements associated with this report are generally within the TIRZ Boundary <br />and are confined by the Southern Pacific Railroad on the west, Fairmont Parkway to the north, <br />Old SH 146 to the east, and extends south of McCabe. The TIRZ Boundary is shown on <br />Exhibit 1. <br /> <br />2.2 Authorization <br /> <br />The City of La Porte authorized CivilTech Engineering, Inc. to perform a drainage plan for the <br />Taylor Bayou Watershed as part of the Standard Form of Agreement between the Owner and <br />Engineer for the Studv and Report Phase Professional Services executed May 20, 2002.
