<br />THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD MET THIS THE 10TH DAY OF APRIL 2008 AT 3:30 PM IN
<br />CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 604 W. FAIRMONT PARKWAY, LA PORTE, TEXAS, WITH THE
<br />FOLLOWING PRESENT:

<br />1. CALL TO ORDER
<br />The meeting was called to order at 3:38pm.
<br />
<br />2. CONSIDER AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION TO APPROVE MINUTES.
<br />A motion was made by Board Member Carpenter to approve the minutes of March 13,2008 as corrected.
<br />The motion was seconded by Board Member Nelson and upon vote the motion carried unanimously.
<br />

<br />Nays: None
<br />Abstain: None
<br />
<br />3. DISCUSS AND APPROVE A RECOMMENDATION TO PLANNING & ZONING REGARDING
<br />BUILDING USES ON MAIN STREET.
<br />A. Board Member Manning made a motion to recommend to P & Z that the Main Street Overlay District
<br />line be moved to Virginia Street. The motion was seconded by Board Member Pfeiffer and upon vote
<br />the motion carried (see attachment - Proposed Main St. Overlay District 4-10-08).

<br />Ayes: Dunaway, Follis, Pfeiffer, Manning, Carpenter, Nelson
<br />Nays: Follis
<br />Abstain: None
<br />
<br />B. . Board Member Manning made a ~otion to recommend to P & Z that the building usage
<br />recommendations apply only to the newly defined Main Street Overlay District. The motion was
<br />seconded by Board Member Follis and upon vote the motion carried unanimously.

<br />C. Board Member Nelson made a motion to approve all of the NAICS codes that are uncontested (see
<br />attached Rev. Draft - Main Street Building Usage, 4-10-08). The motion was seconded by Board
<br />Member Follis and upon vote the motion carried unanimously.

<br />D. "Upon explanation and discussion of the contested NAICS codes, the following board members
