He does not have a problem with a six month extension. However, he does <br />not believe that the City and Association agree on the "median" scale, and going <br />beyond that is a give and take. He believes the City keeps deferring more to the <br />median.. He also stated he is open to a long term extension going into February 2013 <br />and going back to the table in 2012 to see if budget will adjust to median, he would <br />prefer to see an eighteen month extension. <br />d) At 4:23pm the Association called a caucus. They returned at 4:28 p.m. <br />e) LPPOA President, Officer Novosad advised that they are in agreement to a six month <br />extension and coming back to the table in June, 2012. however, the Association does <br />have to obtain votes from their membership regarding the proposed extension. <br />f) The Association and the City would like for the extension to be presented to Council <br />in January, 2012. <br />g) City staff will get with legal to see if a one page document could be drafted stated that <br />the current agreement will be extended for a six month period, ending September 30, <br />2011 and returning for discussions no Iater than June 1, 2012 or as agreed. <br />4.
