Also present were Zoning Commission members Mrs. Eugenie Miller, VYalter Roberson George Tdorris, and anew member V. M. Calhoun. Also present was .~ City Commissioner Tom Osburn. `m.Purpose of the meeting was to discuss some changes in the zoning ordinance recommended by the City Commission at a recent meeting. S .~s .. i. r i .. that square footage requirements for all classifications of Single }~ ~~~ Family :~~velling .District be as follows: Class "A", 1250 to 2000 ~~ square feet of living area; Class "B" , 1000 to 1500; Class "C'Flus" ~ ::900 to 1250; Class "C" , 800 to 1000; Class "D" , 700 to 900, and :.;Class "E", 600 to 800. Pdotion carried unanimously. ~• 1 :~~After holding a discussion on construction of garage apartments -for rental purposes in Single Family gelling District, a motion 4g -.was made by Eugenie Miller anal seconded by falter Roberson on the ~~fQllowing: Garage apartments shall be permitted in all class if ~ cat ions ~of Single Family Duvelling District providing they areof complimentary ~~material and construction to the building proper, with all materials used sub3ect to approval by the Zoning Commission and provided, however ,. ~that~ no garage apartments shall b® constructed of corrugated iron - or ~~.t~:n and roofs are of conforming material and color as the building :proper. Motion carried unamiously. ,.. ._ ~~,~'otion was made ~by George Norris and seconded by Eug®nie Miller that the following be added to provisions for garage apartments:~ "and provided further that no more than one garage apartment shall be constructed to each single family dwelling unit.
