s~;~ <br />Minutes of the I~Porte Planning and Z~oning~mmission ®ct. '~ 1 , 1 <,a61 <br />Ewell A® Brigham raised a question on the appointment of Mr. V. M. <br />• Calhoun to the Zoning Commission. A check of the minutes of the <br />City Commission indicated that his appointment was recorded only <br />as a member of the Board of Adjustment ® Imo'. Osb~n indicated <br />that it had been the intent of the City Commission to appoint <br />~°© Calhoun to the Zoning Commission also. Mrs. Moore instructed <br />the Secretary to requeBt the City Commission by letter to clarify <br />Mro Calhoun"s appointment, Since Mr. C~alhoun's appointment <br />was questioned the approval of the Minutes of the September 6, 1961 <br />Zoning Commission was delayed since Mr. Calhoun was required to <br />make a quorum. <br />gn order that the recommendations that were made at the September <br />69 1969 meeting might not be delayed, Mr. Walter Roberson made <br />a motion seconded by IKr. I Leon Smith that we accept and approve <br />the recom~;endations recorded in the Minutes of the September 6, 1961 <br />Zoning Commission meeting. <br />Motion carried with Ewell A. Brigham opposing. <br />• <br />1~ix°s. Moore read letters of resignation from Mr. R. Ao Mc Glendon <br />and Mra~. Eugenie Miller. Mrs. Moore requested the Secretary to <br />write them letters expressing our appreciation for thei~° efforts. <br />Mro ®aburn reported that the known violations of the Zoning <br />®rdinance were in the hands of the City Attorney. The City <br />Attorney is proceding with the required legal stepso <br />The Chairman, Mrs. Moore, appointed the following committee to <br />draft By®L'aws for the Zoning Commission: Chairman, Mrs® Lois Compton, <br />Mro I peon Smith, D. ®o %,aird, and Eugene Meeks; <br />It was pointed out that with the resignation of 1~`r. R. A. McClendon <br />tre needs to elect a new Mice-Chairman. Ewell A.
