i <br />MINUTES - CALLED MEETING <br />OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />J~JNE 2 4 , 19 7 4 <br />7:15 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Walter Roberson, Lois Compton <br />J. H. Smith and William R. Shedelbower. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: William S. Love, Jr. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Margie Goyen, City Clerk <br />PRESIDING: Chairman Walter Roberson <br />+ + + <br />1. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO NEW MEMBERS - The Oath of Office <br />was administered to Mr. Walter Roberson in the City Clerk's <br />office prior to the meeting. <br />The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to <br />Mr. J. H. Smith and Mr. Wm. R. Shedelbower. <br />2. HOUSE TO BE MOVED INTO LA PORTE - Motion by Lois Compton, <br />seconded by Jim Smith to approve the application for <br />house moving permit from Mr. James F. Ball, 4131 Coleridge, <br />Houston, Texas, Receipt No. 21365. The house will be moved <br />from Houston to 311 South Blackwell. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Wm. S. Love. <br />3. REQUEST - MATT HALL BENTON - 8.9957 ACRES OUT OF ENOCH <br />- , ., - <br />REZONED COMMERCIAL - Motion by Jim Smith and seconded by <br />Lois Compton to recommend to the City Commission to rezone <br />the back one-half of this tract to commercial from residential <br />making the total tract commercial. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Wm. S. Love. <br />• <br />
