Y~IINUTES - CALLED MEETING <br />OF THE <br />F~LANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />DECEMBER 10, 1974 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Walter Roberson, Lois Compton, <br />J. H. Smith, William S. Love and William R. Shedelbower. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Margie Goyen, City Clerk <br />PRESIDING: Chairman Walter Roberson <br />+ + + <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Roberson. <br />• + + + <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Motion by Jim Smith, seconded by <br />Lois Compton to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, Wm. Love and Wm. Shedelbower. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />3. DISCUSS POSSIBLE RELOCATION OF CHEMLIME - Mr. Fred Westergren <br />and Mr. Bruce Angel were present. Mr. Fred Westergren was <br />asked to make a presentation on the possible relocation of <br />Chemlime. <br />Mr. Westergren stated that the proposed location would be <br />Outlot 1, Nebraska Syndicate, located at Crestlane and 16th <br />Street. Ms. Westergren presented a preliminary drawing of <br />the proposed facilities and and explained the proposed operation <br />would be a very clean, lime dust free operation. He further <br />stated he would be happy to show anyone the proposed location <br />at any time. He further stated that all necessary agencies, <br />including the E.P.A., Water Quality and Air Quality Boards <br />
