<br />MINUTES - CALLED MEETING <br />• OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />JUNE 9, 1975 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Walter Roberson, J. H. Smith, <br />and Wm. R. Shedelbower. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: Charles Christensen and Kerry <br />R. Beverly. <br />PRESIDING: Chairman Walter Roberson. <br />+ + + <br />1. CALL TO ORDER.- The meeting was called to order by Chairman <br />Roberson. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />2. CONSIDER REPEAT REQUEST OF CARLOS SMITH FOR FAIRMONT PARK - <br />Carlos Smith explained to the Commission the request to replat <br />Block 21 in Section 2 of Fairmont Park. Mr. Roberson raised <br />the question as to abandoning the utility right of way between <br />Lots 12 and 13. Carlos Smith explained that he would submit <br />a letter to the Council from the utility company relinquishing <br />their right to this easement. <br />Mr. Eddie Gray spoke to the Commission and gave his reason for <br />changing the original plat so as to close Old Hickory Drive <br />on the south end thus eliminating a through traffic problem, <br />in a residential neighborhood. <br />Motion by W. R. Shedelbower, seconded by Jim Smith to replat <br />Block 21, Section 2 of Fairmont Park as requested by Carlos <br />Smith. The vote was unanimous in favor of the request. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
