JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH' C'I~TY ~COMMIS'SION TO CONS'IDE'R REZONING <br />BLOCKS 1218 , 14'4 5~, AND TRACT '9', JOHNSON HUNTER,' TOWN 'OF' L'A PORTE , <br />FROM RESIDENTIAL TO ~"C"APARTMENT AND 'COMMERC'IAL - Mayor Meza <br />opened the Joint Public Hearing at 7:05 P.M. and asked if there <br />was anyone present desiring to speak for or against the rezoning <br />of Blocks 1218, 1445, and Tract 9, Johnson Hunter, Town of <br />La Porte, from Residential to "C" Apartment and Commercial? <br />MR. CHARLES CHRISTENSEN = CHAIRMAN OF'PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION - <br />~was recognized and addressed the Commission. Mr. Christensen <br />stated that Blocks 1218, 1445, and Tract 9, Johnson Hunter, were <br />brought into the City by annexation; all properties are <br />automatically brought into the City into the Residential Zoning <br />Classification. Mr. Christensen .further stated that there were <br />several businesses already located on some of the property in <br />question, at the time it was annexed into the City; and that the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that this property be <br />rezoned to "C" Apartment and Commercial District. <br />Mayor Meza asked if there was anyone desiring to speak <br />against the rezoning? There was no one desiring to speak. <br />• Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner' <br />Simons to rezone Blocks 1218, 1445, and Tract 9, Johnson <br />Hunter, Town of La Porte, from Residential to "C" Apartment <br />and Commercial District. Motion carried by unanimous vote. <br />The Joint Public Hearing adjourned at 7:08 P.M. <br />0 <br />1- <br />argie yen, City Jerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
