The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Bruce Hammack <br />at 7:03 P.M. <br />Members of the Commiss,~on Present: Vice-Chairman Bruce <br />Hammack, Members Bobby Blackwell, Lola Phillips, Janet Graves, <br />Karl Johnston, and Charlie Doug Boyle <br />Members ~ thg_Commissio~ Absent: Chairman Doug Latimer <br />City Staff Present: Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, <br />Assistant City Secretary Laura Hall, and City Engineer Bob <br />Speake ' <br />Others Present: Mr. Winston R. DeBlanc <br /> <br />2. The Commission considered the approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held on October 23, 1984. <br />Motion_was made by_Janet_Grav_es to a.pp~oye tie m.~nutes_~s <br />resented. Second by Karl Johnston. The motion carried, <br />6 ayes and 0 nays <br />Ayes: Hammack, Blackwell, Graves, Phillips, Johnston, Boyle <br />Nays: None <br />3. Vice-Chairman Hammack called the Public Hearing to order to <br />consider the request of Winston R. DeBlanc to rezone a <br />5.019 acre tract of land on the east side of Highway 146 <br />at the Highway 225 intersection from commercial to industrial. <br />A. Those wishing to speak in favor of the rezoning request: <br />Mr. Winston R. DeBlanc spoke in favor of his request stating <br />that the rezoning was in compliance with the ne~aly created <br />Master Plan. He stated that at the present time, there would <br />be no changes to the property and that there was no immediate <br />intent or probable use for the property at this time. He <br />stated that sometime in the future, the property could be used <br />as an auto storage yard. He stated that the property adjacent <br />to this acreage is currently used for :.auto storage and that <br />• <br />
