Second by Bobby Blackwell. The motion <br />carried, 4 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Latimer, Blackwell, Graves, Boyle <br />Nays: None <br />5. The Commission reviewed the final draft of the Subdivision <br />Ordinance with City Engineer Bob Speake. <br />City Engineer Speake stated that he would like to have a <br />detailed discussion with a vote at the next meeting of the <br />Commission. He stated that Director of Community <br />Development John Joerns, Randy Walters of Vernon Henry and <br />• Associates, and Chief Building Official David Paulissen had <br />not reviewed the draft._ordinance but would have done so <br />prior to the next meeting of the Commission. Mr. Speake <br />stated that Mr. Walters would be paid for his services in <br />reviewing the draft ordinance. He stated that the major <br />differences with the ordinance were relocating certain items <br />such as calling the Subdivision Ordinance a Development <br />Ordinance, incorporating a site plan review process along <br />with several other concerns. Chairman Latimer stated that <br />Item 2.22 was of concern to him. City Engineer Speake <br />explained the PICM, Chapter 2 text was on platting <br />procedures and mainly speaks to public improvements. He <br />hoped the Commission would be ready to vote on the ordinance <br />on March 21 including recommendations from Randy Walters and <br />himself. <br />Chairman Latimer discussed the land use maps and asked Mr. <br />Blackwell for his comment on the project. <br />Mr. Blackwell stated that the Commission had spent the last <br />four to five years working this same project and had paid <br />the consultants over $250,000. who were to set up the <br />thoroughfare plan, etc. and that he hated to see major <br />changes being made.
