• • <br />• <br />~.. <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting <br />La Porte Planning & Zoning Commission <br />March 21, 1985, Page 4 <br />severe restrictions on the commercial, small business <br />developer. <br />• Chairman Latimer stated at this point that there was not a <br />"Greenbelt Ordinance" within the Development Ordinance or <br />the Comprehensive Master Plan. <br />Mr. Westergren stated that he would like to propose an <br />opportunity for several of the developers within the City <br />to sit down with the people directly involved in creating <br />this Ordinance and discuss the virtues and disadvantages of <br />such an Ordinance to the small business developer. <br />Chairman Latimer stated that it is in the interest of the <br />City that development proceed. <br />Mr. Westergren stated that everything to do with the <br />community becomes affected when there is no building going <br />on. <br />Mr. Hammack thanked Mr. Westergren for coming to the <br />meeting and giving feedback to the Commission from the <br />developer's viewpoint. He felt that we did need to include <br />the local developers in the process of developing the <br />ordinance. <br />Chairman Latimer invited Mr. Westergren to the April 4th <br />meeting. <br />• 5.
