The meeting was called to Order by Chairman Andy Wilson at <br />7:02 P.M. <br />Members of the Commission Present: Chairman Andy Wilson, <br />Members Bobby Blackwell, Lola Phillips, Janet Graves, Bruce <br />Hammack, Karl Johnston, Charlie Doug Boyle <br />Members of the Commission Absent: None <br />City Staff Present: Assistant City Attorney John <br />Armstrong, City Engineer Bob Speake, Director Parks & <br />Recreation Stan Sherwood, Executive Secretary Gwen Jackson <br />and Engineering Secretary Tina Anger <br />Others Present: Ms. Adair Sullivan, Ms. Barbara Neal of <br />• the Bayshore Sun <br />2. Andy Wilson read the first item on the agenda which was to <br />Consider Approval of the Master Utility Plan. <br />City Engineer Bob Speake summarized the Master Utility Plan <br />and answered questions from the commission. <br />Commissioner Blackwell asked about the extension of Big <br />Island Slough south of Fairmont Parkway. <br />Mr. Speake agreed to contact Harris County Flood Control <br />district to make sure that channel improvements in that <br />area are being planned by Flood Control. <br />Commissioner Hammack made a motion to approve the Master <br />Utility Plan. Seconded by Commissioner Phillips. The <br />motion carried with 7 ayes 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Blackwell, Phillips, Hammack, Graves, Boyle, Wilson <br />and Johnston <br />Nays: None <br />• <br />3. Chairman Wilson moved to Item 3 on the Agenda - Review of <br />Beautification and Open Space & Recreation <br /> <br />
