Page Two
January 9, 1986 •
Memo to P & Z Commissio
• 5. Divide zone residential acreage (A) by required zone park
land acreage (B) to determine zone park land ratio (E).
/tla
0
6. Compare zone park land ratio (E) to City-wide park land ratio
(R).
COMMENTARY: Zone 2 (Fairmont Park) is short about 7 acres
park land, but, since its density is 4.8 lots per acre rather
than the City-wide average density up 7.5 in the
Comprehensive Plan, Zone 2 has adequate park land to serve
all its future residents. Zone 6 (Little Cedar Bayou
Regional Park) has about twice as much park land as needed to
serve its future population, but its park serves the entire
City. All other park zones match the City-wide ratio (R).
