~~ <br /> MINUTES OF LA PORTE PLANNING <br />• AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />JULY 31, 1986 <br />1. Chairman Doug Latimer called the meeting to order at 7:04 P. M. <br />Those Commissioners present: Chairman Doug Latimer, Commissioners <br />Charlie Doug Boyle, Karl Johnston, Lola Phillips, Janet Graves, <br />Bobby Blackwell. <br />City Staff present: Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, Chief <br />Building Official/Zoning Administrator David Paulissen, Code <br />Enforcement Clerk Kelley Anderson. <br />Others Present: Decker McKim of Decker McKim Realtors, Janet Gray <br />Wahrlich of Gray Enterprises, Attorney At Law Bill Osborne, <br />numerous other citizens. <br />2. The motion was made by C. D. Boyle and seconded by J. Graves to <br />accept minutes of July 10. <br />The changes were made on the July 24 meeting as noted: John <br />Armstrong did attend the meeting held on July 24. It was also <br />noted that on page 3 of the minutes on July 24 meeting that the <br />• change be made on the 4th paragraph to read, "Doug Latimer <br />indicated to Janet Warlich that their and staffs map was pretty <br />well in agreement with the map submitted by Gray Enterprises Inc." <br />The motion was made by C. D. Boyle and seconded by J. Graves to <br />accept the minutes of July 24. <br />3. Discuss Area Map on Rezoning of Lomax Area and Old La Porte. <br />D. Latimer went over the area that would be discussed. Those <br />areas being the area north of the extension of Pasadena Blvd. and <br />from Underwood up to Sens Rd. <br />Chief Building Official/Zoning Administrator David Paulissen <br />stated that a thoroughfare between North/South pipeline on Spencer <br />Hwy. to State Hwy. 225 along eastern side of airport would not <br />materialize. He felt that the Neighborhood Commercial that was in <br />the heart of the Lomax, located along Sens Rd. He stated that <br />staff felt that Neighborhood Commercial be located at <br />intersections of thoroughfares so that they are easy to get to. It <br />was suggested, by David, that staff look at the Neighborhood <br />Commercial along Sens Rd. <br /> <br />
