~~ MINUTES OF LA PORTE PLANNING • AND ZONING COMMISSION JULY 31, 1986 1. Chairman Doug Latimer called the meeting to order at 7:04 P. M. Those Commissioners present: Chairman Doug Latimer, Commissioners Charlie Doug Boyle, Karl Johnston, Lola Phillips, Janet Graves, Bobby Blackwell. City Staff present: Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, Chief Building Official/Zoning Administrator David Paulissen, Code Enforcement Clerk Kelley Anderson. Others Present: Decker McKim of Decker McKim Realtors, Janet Gray Wahrlich of Gray Enterprises, Attorney At Law Bill Osborne, numerous other citizens. 2. The motion was made by C. D. Boyle and seconded by J. Graves to accept minutes of July 10. The changes were made on the July 24 meeting as noted: John Armstrong did attend the meeting held on July 24. It was also noted that on page 3 of the minutes on July 24 meeting that the • change be made on the 4th paragraph to read, "Doug Latimer indicated to Janet Warlich that their and staffs map was pretty well in agreement with the map submitted by Gray Enterprises Inc." The motion was made by C. D. Boyle and seconded by J. Graves to accept the minutes of July 24. 3. Discuss Area Map on Rezoning of Lomax Area and Old La Porte. D. Latimer went over the area that would be discussed. Those areas being the area north of the extension of Pasadena Blvd. and from Underwood up to Sens Rd. Chief Building Official/Zoning Administrator David Paulissen stated that a thoroughfare between North/South pipeline on Spencer Hwy. to State Hwy. 225 along eastern side of airport would not materialize. He felt that the Neighborhood Commercial that was in the heart of the Lomax, located along Sens Rd. He stated that staff felt that Neighborhood Commercial be located at intersections of thoroughfares so that they are easy to get to. It was suggested, by David, that staff look at the Neighborhood Commercial along Sens Rd.
