CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Mr. Doug Latimer called the meeting to order at 12:13 <br />P. M. <br />Those Commissioners present: Chairman Mr. Latimer, Commissioners <br />Karl Johnston, Lola Phillips, Bobby Blackwell, Charlie Doug Boyle. <br />Citv Staff present: Chief Building Official/Zoning Administrator <br />David Paulissen, Code Enforcement Clerk Kelley Anderson, <br />Administrative Intern Sabrina Delafield. <br />Others present: F~~i: t:estergren, Jack Phillips. <br />2. PUBLIC HEARING IN REGARDS TO REZONING A 12.203 ACRE TRACT OF LAi1D <br />OUT OF RICHARD PEARSALL 1/3 LEAGE, SURVEY. <br />Their were no puo~~c present. The area to be rezoned was discussed <br />by Mr. Latimer and P9r. Paulissen. <br />The motion was made by Karl Johnston in favor of the rezoning and <br />seconded by Bobby Blackwell. Awl in favor. <br />It was decided to forward the request to Council for possible <br />rezoning. <br />3. COPISIDER APPROVING MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER ~4, 1986. <br />The motion was made by Charlie Doug Boyle and seconded by Karl <br />Johnston to accept minutes of September 4, 1986. All in favor. <br />4. DISCUSS THE PROPOSED FINAL DRAFT OF THE ZONING I~9AP TO BE REVIEWED AT <br />THE NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS. <br />Doug Latimer read a letter to the Planning Commission, from John <br />Nesheim an attorney, in reference to Jack Phillips piece of land <br />between P Street and 225 west of Sens. The letter is requesting <br />changing General Commercial and bringing Light Industrial down to <br />his area. After the letter was read Mr. Paulissen explained to Mr. <br />Phillips that the General Commercial category would let them ude the <br />property for what they intended. <br />Mr. Phillips indicated to i4r. Paulissen that he would like to put <br />manufacturing and warehousing in there. In reply to this request, <br />Mr. Paulissen explained to him that under the current General <br />Commercial category, manufacturing is not something that is allowed, <br />and warehousing under the new ordinance will require one of the <br />industrial zones. <br />There was also concern that i4r. Latimer discussed, concerning the <br />fact that their were going to be some citizens that didn't like the <br />fact of putting any Business Industrial at all in that area, because <br />
