® • <br />Public Hearing - 11/19/8? <br />Page 2 <br />David Brady, President Elect Chamber of Commerce addressed the Sign <br />Ordinance. He opposed certain provisions but voice support of others. <br />(Minutes modified by motion from Inge Browder, a second by Janet Graves <br />and approved unanimously. )~, ~ l ~~ ` <br />2. Gladys Rot Commonwealth <br />opposing the setbacks. <br />3. Janet Wahrlich. Gray Ente <br />she is opposed and is ask <br />until the regulations and <br />examine proper percentage <br />Council. <br />Title - addressed Sign Ordinance, she is <br />rprises - addressed Landscaping Ordinance- <br />ing Commission not to revise the text <br />requirements have been written and also <br />for landscaping before going on to City <br />y., Adair Sullivan, Homeowner - Section 10-505, Fencing and Landscaping <br />Requirements - when building fence, the best side face the street. <br />5. Bob Pizzatola ~ La Porte State Bank and representing La Porte and <br />the Chamber of Commerce - he is opposing the setbacks and asking <br />Commission to look at size in reference to life time use of sign. <br />6. Hugh Pfeiffer, Business and Personal - Owner of Block 92; Lots <br />• 6-13; La Porte, asking Commission to consider this area as a map <br />review item, changing it from R-1 to General Commercial, the same <br />as Block 93. <br />7. Harold Pfeiffer, Homeowner and B <br />needed on Landscaping Ordinance <br />regarding lot size and rules and <br />be more defined; opposed to size <br />but supports removal of portable <br />overturn Planning and Zoning. <br />sinessman - feels further study <br />disadvantage for redevelopment <br />regulations in Section 5-800 A-(1) <br />and setbacks on Sign Ordinate <br />signs; opposing 3/4 vote to <br />8. Lindsey Pfeffer, Bus?nessman - feels we do need a sign ordinance <br />but Commission needs to look at allowing more signs on buildings <br />and sign permit fees should be eliminated. Landscaping - review <br />use examples. He opposes the 3/4 vote to overturn Planning and <br />Zoning. <br />g. •r g Sills Owner Mr. Mercurv - feels the need for a Sign Ordinance <br />but one that will be beneficial for both small and big businesses; <br />more research. Stongly proposes majority vote instead of the 3/4 <br />vote. <br />10. Fdd;e Grav ray Enterprises - Opposing the Landscaping Ordinance - <br />not necessary. Opposing 3/4 vote to overturn Planning and Zoning. <br />Opposed to current proposed Sign Ordinance <br />• 11. Joe Camp Jr Joe Camn Ford - In favor of rooftop, stairway and <br />and temporary signs. Wall signs and ground signs need to be less <br />restrictive; against ordinance. <br />iJ <br />
