Albrecht, <br />City Inspector Mark Lewis, Community <br />Development/Engineering Secretary Nina Browning, <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong <br />Others Present: Councilman B. Don Skelton, approximately 20 <br />concerned citizens <br />1 ) CALL TO 0 RDE R <br />Chairperson Janet Graves called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. <br />~) APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE APRIL 6, 1989 MEETING <br />A motion was made by Charles Boyle and seconded by Eugene Edmonds <br />to approve the minutes of the April 6, 1989 meeting as submitted. <br />The vote was unanimous. <br />3) DISCUSSION OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ISSUES REGARDING ANNEXED BAYMUD <br />Mrs. Graves told the audience that she appreciated their <br />attendence and interest, but she wanted to clarify that this <br />meeting was a study session and no decisions would be made or any <br />action taken tonight. Tf anyone would like to speak they would be <br />permitted to. <br />Ms. Jan Stevenson, 232 Desire Dr., spoke to the Commission. Mrs. <br />Stevenson stated before the annexation took place on January 1, <br />1989, La Porte City Officials made certain statements to various <br />people about things that would happen in the BayMUD area. She <br />said that she was assured by these City Officials that in the <br />operation of her small mobile home park, that she caould be <br />permitted to operate as a "non-conforming" status in an "R-1" <br />zoning area. Mrs. Stevenson said she had a Harris County permit, <br />and BayMUD was aware of this, because she had to produce the <br />Harris County permit to BayP9UD before she paid them the total sum <br />of $12,960.00 to get her water and sewer connected to her <br />property. <br />• <br />
