TEXAS 77$72 <br />FI~~ <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br />Re: Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU93-001 <br />Dear Mayor Malone, <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, at its January 21, 1993, public hearing and <br />regular meeting considered Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU93-001. This <br />permit has been requested for the purpose of allowing Houston Shell & Concrete, the <br />applicant, to construct and operate a concrete batch plant in a Light Industrial Zone. The <br />proposed site for this plant is 12803 Old La Porte Road. The permit has been requested <br />as required by Section 7-500 of Zoning Ordinance 1501. <br />The Commission, by unanimous vote of members present, has recommended City Council <br />approval of Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU93-001. The Commission has also <br />recommended attaching the following two (2) conditions to this permit. <br />I. The applicant shall install an on .site septic system to accomodate <br />sanitary waste. <br />II. All areas currently surfaced with calcium sulfate shall be topped with <br />a material suitable for control of dust. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />~,.~ <br />Betty T.
