• • <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 18, 1993 <br />Members Present: Chairman Betty Waters, Commissioners Dottie Kaminski, Inge <br />Browder, Wayne Anderson, Howard Ebow, Eugene Edmonds <br />Members Absent: None <br />City Staff Present: Planning Director Chuck Harrington, Assistant City Manager <br />John Joerns, Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, Planning <br />Secretary Peggy L.ee ' <br />Others Present: <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Waters at 7:06 PM. <br />• II. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 21, 1993 PUBLIC HEARING AND <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />A motion was made by Inge Browder and seconded by Dottie Kaminski to approve <br />the minutes as submitted. All were in favor and the motion passed. <br />III. CONSIDER PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL OF THE CORONET ESTATES <br />SUBDIVISION LOCATED ON ROBINSON ROAD AT NORTH "P" STREET. <br />SUBDIVISION IS TO BE PLATTED FROM A 50.30 ACRE TRACT WHICH IS <br />COMPRISED FROM LA PORTE OUTLOTS 354; 355; 356; 385; 386; AND <br />PORTIONS OF LOTS 353; 357; 384. <br />Mr. Harrington addressed the Commission. Upon review of the Coronet Estates <br />Subdivision plat for compliance with City Ordinances, staff has noted several items <br />which need to be addressed prior to the granting of final approval. These items are <br />outlined in the Staff Report of February 11, 1993. <br />Item IX of the staff report deals with the Development Ordinance requirement for <br />street lighting within new subdivisions. Staff feels that the established guidelines <br />being utilized currently may not be appropriate for rural subdivisions. Staff proposes <br />to supply additional data to the Commission prior to the final plat including <br />• recommendations for a new street light policy for rural areas. <br />
