PROPONENTS <br />The applicant, David Boothe (for Johnny Steeland), who resides at 706 <br />Sharon in Baytown, addressed the Commission. Mr. Boothe stated the <br />owners of the property contacted him and requested he perform a <br />survey to try and identify what the highest and best use would be for <br />this land. Mini-warehousing was decided upon since there was a need <br />for storage facilities that could house larger motor homes and boats. <br />The units will also be climate controlled. <br />B. OPPONENTS <br />There were none. <br />VIII. CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING <br />Chairman Waters closed the public hearing at 6:36 PM. <br />IX. CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING SPECIAL <br />• CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #SCU94-003. <br />A motion was made by Inge Browder to recommend to City Council, approval of <br />SCU94-003 with the following conditions: <br />• A formal minor development site plan, prepared in accordance with <br />the requirements of Development Ordinance 1444, shall be submitted <br />for review and approval by City staff prior to obtaining permits for <br />construction of this facility. <br />• Outdoor storage areas shall be developed in accordance with the <br />requirements of Section 6-600 of Ordinance 1501. Plans for <br />development of these areas shall be submitted to the City and <br />necessary permits obtained prior to development of these storage <br />areas. <br />• All structures and plantings on the property shall conform to height <br />limitations necessary to maintain adequate clear airport runway <br />approach. <br />• All structures and plantings on the property shall conform to height <br />limitations necessary to maintain adequate clear airport runway <br />• approach. <br />
