Box 1115 <br />LaPorte, Texas 77572 <br />Dear Mrs. Waters: <br />The City of LaPorte has previously approved Section IV, <br />Fairmont Park East Subdivision. This original subdivision <br />contained 252 lots. With the turn-down in the home building <br />economy in the mid-1980's, we came back to Planning & Zoning and <br />got approval to divide Section IV into Section IV, Phase A, 112 <br />lots, Section IV, Phase B, 74 lots, and Section IV, Phase C, 66 <br />lots. No changes were made to Section IV except doing a smaller <br />number of lots at a time. Section IV, Phase A was completed in <br />1991. Since that time we have had four different home builders at <br />different times in Phase A. During the late 1980's and early <br />1990's, many homes and lots were repossessed and sold at less than <br />their replacement costs. This made the sale of new homes very <br />difficult. <br />At the present time we are ready to build additional new lots <br />in Fairmont Park East, and request an update on the approval of <br />Section IV, Phase B and Section IV, Phase C. No changes have been <br />made in Section IV since our original approval.
