Page 3 of 3 • • <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Minutes of May 16, 1996 <br />IV. CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />Howard Ebow closed the public heazing at 6:37 PM. <br />V. CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL FOR ZONE CHANGE <br />REQUEST #R96-003. <br />Mazgazet Anderson asked if the rezoning would interfere with the grant. Mr. Rankin <br />said it would not, however, a rezoning would limit the amount of available residential <br />space. <br />Staff mailed meeting notices to twenty adjacent property owners. One reply was returned <br />in favor of the request and four were returned opposed to the request. No notices were <br />returned undeliverable. <br />A motion was made by Chuck Engelken to deny Zone Change Request #R96-003. The <br />motion was seconded by Melton Wolters. Commission Members Melton Wolters, Chuck <br />Engelken, and Howard Ebow voted to deny the request. Commission Members Dottie <br />Kaminski and Mazgazet Anderson voted in opposition. The motion passed. <br />VII. STAFF REPORTS <br />There were none. <br />VII. ADJOURN <br />A motion was made by Chuck Engelken to adjourn.
