ACTION TO CONSIDER THE REPEAT OF A TRACT OF LAND KNOWN AS '/a <br />SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTH'/z OF THE WEST'/z OF OUTLOT 422 <br />OUT OF LA PORT OUTLOTS, FURTHER DESCRIBED AS 10601 NORTH L <br />STREET. <br />No action was taken on this item. <br />VIII. STAFF REPORTS <br />Mayor Malone addressed the Commission. He told the Commission that he supports <br />their recommendations to Council one hundred percent and appreciates all their hard <br />work. <br />Mr. Rankin introduced the City's new Chief Building Official, Art Flores. <br />Discussions began regarding Sexually Oriented Businesses. The Commission and staff <br />began editing the draft report and ordinance that was submitted for review at the last <br />meeting. <br />It was suggested that a special called meeting and public hearing be held to receive public <br />comment on Sexually Oriented Businesses. Everyone agreed that the week of August <br />5th, would be a good time. <br />Chairman Waters noted that the Commission would soon be looking into non-conforming <br />uses within residential areas of the City. Mr. Rankin said he would have a van available <br />for the August 7th meeting. If the meeting runs short, we will tour the City and look <br />at existing non-conformities. If the meeting runs long, we will workshop non- <br />conformities during the regular August meeting. <br />
