Box 1115 <br />LaPorte, Texas 77572.1115 <br />Re: Special Conditional Use Permit # SCU00-001 <br />Dear Mr. Knuepper: <br />OCT 15 2001 <br />;Oy. <br />October 12, 2001 <br />As we generally discussed earlier this month, Bayou Forest Apartments, LTD., L.L.P. <br />(BAYOU) and Forest Holdings, LTD., L.L.P. (FOREST) have been, due to unforeseen <br />events, delayed in requesting a one (1) year extension to Special Conditional Use Permit <br /># SCU00-001 (Phase One, Park Forest Apartments Subdivision General Plan, Revision <br />Date November 11, 2000). <br />The delays have been primarily related to the September Tragedy and a change in Federal <br />Regulations which may potentially impact the United States Army Corps of Engineers <br />Permit #21774 which is related to the tract of land covered by subject Special Conditional <br />Use Permit. <br />I respectfully request by way of this letter an extension of one (1) year be granted by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte for the subject Special <br />Conditional Use Permit. This requested one (1) year extension should allow sufficient <br />time for resolution of any federal regulatory issues and the financing of the proposed <br />apartment project. <br />Your consideration of this request is very much appreciated and please advise of any <br />questions or additional information you may require of us. <br />Sinc ely, <br />Eddie Dutkol <br />General Partner <br />
