On August 6, 2002, the Crime Prevention Division sponsored National Night Out in La Porte. There were a total of 13 block parties. The Bike Patrol, the Mayor, and several Councilmembers, participated in the event. This is the first year the City of La Porte has been a registered participant in National Night Out. . . _.
