CALL, TO ORDER. <br />Chairperson Waters called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. <br />II. APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 20, 2003, REGULAR MEETING psi WORKSHOP <br />MEETING. <br />Motion by Ralph Dorsett to approve the Minutes of February 20, 2003. Second by Doretta <br />Finch. OPEN PUBLIC HEARING. <br />Chairperson Waters opened the Public Hearing at 6:01 PM. <br />A. REZONE REQUEST #R03-001 FOR 20 ACRES OF LAND; TRS 8A, 9A, 9A-7, 9A-8 <br />OUT OF THE W J. PAYNE SUBDIVISION, AS SUBMITTED BY EDDIE V. GRAY, <br />WHICH SEEKS TO REZONE THE PROPERTY FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL <br />(GC) psi HIGH -DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R-3) TO LAW -DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br />1. STAFF PRESENTATION <br />City Planner Gwen Goodwin presented staf 's report, including a slide <br />presentation and answered questions from the Commission. Of the 77 public <br />notices mailed to adjacent property owners, five (5) responses were received in <br />favor of the rezone. <br />2. PROPONENTS <br />Eddie Gray spoke of his plans to build single-family homes and answered <br />questions from the Commission. <br />
