The applicant; Robert Burchfield seeks a <br />special conditional use permit for a multi -family development to be known as the <br />Preserve at Taylor Bayou in the 1200 block of McCabe Rd. <br />B. PROPONENTS <br />Rob Burchfield addressed the Commission. Mr. Burchfield summarized his plans <br />for the development and described the uniqueness of the land for the park. He <br />would like some direction as to how the City would -like to proceed regarding <br />-ownership of the park. <br />Mr. Burchifield's engineer, David Sepulfta, ' 3603 Darnell Court, Missouri City, <br />noted that during a recent meeting with the City, it was determined the location of <br />the lift station should be moved. to McCabe @ -Taylor Bayou. - The new location <br />has been resubmitted to the Corps of Engineers for their approval.. <br />C. OPPONENTS <br />Bernard LeGrand, 3115 Layne Court, addressed the Commission. Mr. LeGrarnd <br />does not feel apartments are needed. in this area of the City; especially since <br />utilities are not in place. <br />Mr. Joems provided a brief historical perspective on efforts. to find a lift station site that. <br />could accommodate proposed. developments in the area. <br />XIV. CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Chairperson Waters closed the public hearing at 8:29 P.M. <br />XV. CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION . TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING --SPECIAL <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST #SCU04-003 FOR 28.43 ACRES OF LAND. <br />LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF MCCABE ROAD.AND STATE <br />HIGHWAY.146. THE APPLICANT; MR ROBERT BURCHFIELD, SEEKS A SPECIAL <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT -FOR A MULTI -FAMILY DEVELOPMENT .IN. THE <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) DISTRICT. <br />There was discussion on several matters including the. multi -family regulations recently <br />adopted by Council. <br />Motion by Hal Lawler to recommend -to CityCouncil,' denial of Special Conditional Use <br />:..Permit #SCU04-003. Second by Dottie Kaminski. The motion carved. <br />Ayes: Lawler, Kaminski, Finch; Barrera, a"Waters <br />Nays: Moms <br />Abstain: None.. <br />XVI. STAFF REPORTS <br />■ .
