IS SEEKING APPROVAL OF A SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />FOR PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF OFFICE DISTRIBUTION CENTER BUILDING B5 IN <br />THE PORT CROSSING BUSINESS PARK. <br /> <br />Motion by Hal Lawler to recommend to City Council, approval of Special Conditional Use <br />Permit #SCU06-004 for 20.77 acres of land being Reserve 'B' out of 296.986 acres of <br />land in the George B. McKinstry Survey, A-47; William P. Harris Survey, A-30: Johnson <br />Hunter Survey, A-3S; La Porte, Harris County, Texas, with the following conditions. <br /> <br />1. This Special Conditional Use Permit does not go into effect until <br />elements and supporting documents contained therein are submitted <br />to the Commission and approved by the City. <br />2. This SCUP is not applicable to any other specific development <br />anticipated or proposed by this General Plan. <br />3. This SCUP outlines in general terms the proposed Planned Unit <br />Development. The developer recognizes and understands that any <br />future construction or development of the private or public <br />improvements anticipated by this SCUP and the General Plan shall <br />require further submittal and approval of plats, site plans, <br />construction drawings, engineering analysis, covenants, etc. <br />4. Said submittals shall be in accordance with the SCUP, the approved <br />General Plan, and the approved Development Agreement. <br />5. The Developer shall comply with all other applicable laws and <br />ordinances of the City of La Porte and the State of Texas. <br /> <br />Second by Dottie Kaminski. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> <br />Wayne Sabo <br /> <br />. Commission Members will soon receive via mail, a copy of the Covenants, <br />conditions, and Restrictions and the Development Agreement for Port <br />Crossing. They are currently being reviewed by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Masood Malik <br /> <br />. BAMIA will be scheduling a workshop for Planning & Zoning and Board of <br />Adjustment Members in the month of August. Members will be contacted <br />with registration information. <br />· Mandatory Training-The pamphlets received are regarding the 2006 Open <br />Meeting Act. The City has two fifty-five minute videos for review by Planning <br />and Zoning members. The first video will be shown at the next meeting on <br />August 17,2006. <br />. Due to Budget Meetings with the City, the Council Chambers will be <br />occupied for the August meeting. The meeting will be held in the classroom <br />of the Recreation Center. <br />
