RUSSELL PLANK, PORT CROSSING, L.P. IS SEEKING APPROVAL OF A SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF OFFICE DISTRIBUTION CENTER BUILDING B5 IN THE PORT CROSSING BUSINESS PARK. Motion by Hal Lawler to recommend to City Council, approval of Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU06-004 for 20.77 acres of land being Reserve 'B' out of 296.986 acres of land in the George B. McKinstry Survey, A-47; William P. Harris Survey, A-30: Johnson Hunter Survey, A-3S; La Porte, Harris County, Texas, with the following conditions. 1. This Special Conditional Use Permit does not go into effect until elements and supporting documents contained therein are submitted to the Commission and approved by the City. 2. This SCUP is not applicable to any other specific development anticipated or proposed by this General Plan. 3. This SCUP outlines in general terms the proposed Planned Unit Development. The developer recognizes and understands that any future construction or development of the private or public improvements anticipated by this SCUP and the General Plan shall require further submittal and approval of plats, site plans, construction drawings, engineering analysis, covenants, etc. 4. Said submittals shall be in accordance with the SCUP, the approved General Plan, and the approved Development Agreement. 5. The Developer shall comply with all other applicable laws and ordinances of the City of La Porte and the State of Texas. Second by Dottie Kaminski. The motion carried. Ayes: Nays: Abstain: Muston, Lawler, Barrera, Berner, Meharg and Kaminski. None None 10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS Wayne Sabo . Commission Members will soon receive via mail, a copy of the Covenants, conditions, and Restrictions and the Development Agreement for Port Crossing. They are currently being reviewed by the City Attorney. Masood Malik . BAMIA will be scheduling a workshop for Planning & Zoning and Board of Adjustment Members in the month of August. Members will be contacted with registration information. · Mandatory Training-The pamphlets received are regarding the 2006 Open Meeting Act. The City has two fifty-five minute videos for review by Planning and Zoning members. The first video will be shown at the next meeting on August 17,2006. . Due to Budget Meetings with the City, the Council Chambers will be occupied for the August meeting. The meeting will be held in the classroom of the Recreation Center.
