CALL TO ORDER. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Chairperson Muston at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF APRIL 19, 2007, MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />Motion by Dottie Kaminski to approve the Minutes of April 19, 2007. CONSIDER PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR PROPOSED LAKES AT FAIRMONT GREENS, SECTION <br />9, TO BE LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF McCABE ROAD AND STATE <br />HIGHWAY 146. <br /> <br />City Planner Masood Malik presented staffs report. Chairperson Muston questioned whether or not <br />the State has issued the Hwy 146 frontage entrance permit. Bryan Klein, Project Director, reported <br />the State has no concerns, but will wait for the final plans. <br /> <br />Motion by Les Bird to approve the preliminary plat for Lakes at Fairmont Greens, Section 9 with the <br />five stated conditions as contained in the staff report with the fifth condition revised to state that the <br />developer's agreement and the CCR's will go to City Council for approval prior to submittal of final <br />plat to Planning & Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Second by Dottie Kaminski. OPEN WORKSHOP <br /> <br />Chairperson Muston opened the Workshop at 6:08 p.m. <br /> <br />A. HOTEUMOTEL DEVELOPMENTS IN GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) ZONING <br />DISTRICTS ADJACENT TO RESIDENTIAL USES. <br /> <br />Mr. Malik reported that as a follow-up to the April 19, 2007, Planning & Zoning <br />Commission meeting when residents of the Fairmont Park East Homeowner's <br />Association expressed concerns over the location of the proposed hotel/motel along <br />Fairmont Parkway near Driftwood adjacent to Fairmont Park East, Section 5, Staff offers <br />the following options: <br /> <br />1. Add footnote prohibiting development when adjacent to residential use. <br />
