Consider approval of a Final Plat for the Bayside Crossing subdivision; a single family residential <br />development consisting of 73 lots on 17.2135 acres located north and west of the intersection of <br />Spencer Highway and Sens Road (Applicant: Beazer Homes). <br />City Planner Eric Ensey presented the staff report on the Final Plat for Bayside Crossing, a <br />17.2135-acre, 73 lot subdivision located north and west of Sens Road and Spencer Highway. In <br />addition, Commissioners were provided a supplemental staff report, which included a copy of <br />the Beazer Homes' Development Agreement. <br />Commissioner Warren inquired about what the annual homeowner's association fees would be. <br />Paul Groman stated the fees have yet to be determined, but since the subdivision is small, the <br />budget will be tight. <br />Motion by Commissioner Martin to approve the Final Plat for Bayside Crossing subdivision. <br />Second by Commissioner LaCour. Discussion on security and surveillance system requirements for hotel/motel uses. <br />City Planner Eric Ensey presented the staff report. During the June 19, 2014, meeting discussion <br />on hotel/motel developments, it was recommended that language be included in the Zoning <br />Ordinance requiring hotel/motel uses to install a surveillance monitoring system. Staff provided <br />two options to the Commission for consideration. <br />Of the two options provided, the Commission selected Option 2, which requires all <br />hotels/motels to install and operate a security and surveillance system to monitor the entire <br />parking lot area and all ingress/egress points to the building(s). <br />7. Update on progress of Chapter 106 Zoning Ordinance Review. <br />City Planner Eric Ensey provided an update on the progress of the Chapter 106 subcommittee. A <br />new section to the Zoning Ordinance is being proposed: Section 106-310, Table A, which <br />outlines commercial and industrial uses. This new section would contain the existing <br />commercial land industrial land use tables currently found in Sections 106-441 and 106-521. <br />
