Second by Commissioner Barrera. Motion carried. <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Kendrick, Follis, Warren, Martin, LaCour, Smith, Barrera, <br /> Tschappat, and Chairman Lawler. <br /> Nays: None <br /> 7. FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT: Consider a recommendation to the La Porte City <br /> Council on a proposed amendment to the Future Land Use Map component of the La <br /> Porte Comprehensive Plan by amending the land use designation for a 1.2 acre tract of <br /> land, legally described as Lots 17-32, Block 789, La Porte Subdivision, from "Mid-High <br /> Density Residential" to "Commercial." <br /> Mr. Clowes presented staff's report for a Future Land Use Map amendment for 1.2 acres, <br /> Lots 17-32, Block 789, from "Mid-High Density Residential" to "Commercial." <br /> Motion by Commissioner Warren to recommend City Council denial of an amendment to <br /> the Future Land Use Map Amendment. Second by Commissioner Follis. Motion carried. <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Martin, LaCour, Warren, Smith, Kendrick, Barrera, Follis, <br /> Tschappat, and Chairman Lawler. <br /> Nays: None <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARING: Open public hearing to receive input on an application for Zone Change <br /> #18-92000002, a request by the City of La Porte. The request is for approval of a zone <br /> change from High Density Residential (R-3)to Low Density Single Family Residential (R-1), <br /> for a 34,217 square foot tract of land located at 330 Bayside Dr. and legally described as <br /> Lots 8-10 and the S. % of Lot 7, Block 1, Bayside Terrace Subdivision. <br /> Chairman Lawler opened the public hearing at 6:10 p.m. <br /> a.
