CALL TO ORDER — Commissioner Kendrick called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. <br />2. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS: —Chairman Lawler was absent for the meeting. <br />3. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time may be <br />reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />No Comment. <br />4. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE MEETING MINUTES: <br />a. Approve the minutes of the meeting held on July 16, 2020. <br />Commissioner O'Conner moved to approve the meeting minutes: the motion was adopted, 8-0. <br />5. REPLAT #20-97000006: Open a public hearing on a request for approval of Residential Replat @#20-97000006 <br />by Charles Anders of Bayway Homes Inc. for the proposed Sylvan Beach Enclave Section 1, a 2.11 acre replat <br />located at the 1300 block of Oregon St. and legally described as the south 20.32' of Lots 3 and 30, all of Lots 4-29, <br />in Block 1160, of The Town of La Porte, a Subdivision recorded in Volume 60, Page 112, of the Deed Records of <br />Harris County, La Porte, Texas. <br />Commissioner Warren moved to approve the proposed replat; the motion was adopted 8-0 <br />6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: City Planner Ian Clowes informed the Commission there were no submitted public <br />hearing items for a September 17th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. <br />7. BOARD COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community members, city <br />employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or existing <br />policies: <br />a. Commissioner Follis spoke about having the commission be more proactive and would like to start <br />looking at possible areas around the city that could benefit from rezoning. <br />b.
