Minutes of Special Called <br />Regular Meeting <br />La Porte Wrecker Committee <br />May 8, 1996, Page 2 <br />Motion was made by Lt. Aaron Corrales to transfer Les Marks <br />Chevrolet E-Tag from Hummer Wrecker Service to DeWalt Towing. <br />Second by Planning Director Guy Rankin. The motion carried, <br />3 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Police Lt. Aaron Corrales, City Secretary Sue <br />Lenes, Director of Planning Guy Rankin <br />Nays: None <br />S. STAFF REPORTS <br />Director of Planning Guy Rankin reported the Wrecker Committee <br />will look into the completion of a new ordinance by January 1, <br />1997, that will meet all State and Federal regulations <br />regarding towing service. Mr. Rankin asked if the committee <br />members had any further reports or recommendations to be <br />brought before this meeting. Police Chief Bobby Powell <br />stated, "When the transfer papers are submitted, the proper <br />fees paid, and the inspection of the wrecker is completed, <br />then DeWalt Towing will be placed on the rotation list at the <br />Police Department". Director of Planning Guy Rankin stated, <br />"The transfer papers are in tact, fees have been paid, and <br />after inspection of the wrecker by the Police Department, this <br />process will be considered complete". <br />6.
