• • <br />C MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />MAY 24, 1984 <br />1. The meeting of the La Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment was <br />called to order by Chairman Andy Wilson at 7:00 P.M. <br />Members Present: Chairman Andy Wilson, Members Sidney Grant, <br />Ronnie Rowell, Robert Swanagan, Charlie Young <br />Members Absent: Linda Mains, Lawrence Farias <br />City Staff Present: Chief Building Official David Paulissen, <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong <br />Others Present: Eddie Gray, Gray Enterprises; Bill Netherton <br />and Frank Redfield, Miller Transporters, Inc.; Bill McNutt, <br />Waste Control Management <br />C 2. The Board considered approving the minutes of the meeting <br />held March 29, 1984. <br />Motion was made, seconded, and duly passed to approve the <br />minutes of the March 29 meeting as presented. <br />3. The Board considered approving the minutes of the meeting <br />held April 19, 1984. <br />Motion was made, seconded and duly passed to approve the <br />minutes of the April 19 meeting as presented. <br />4. The Board considered the request of Eddie Gray for a special <br />use permit for a truck terminal facility. <br />Chief Building Official David Paulissen reviewed his memo to <br />the Board which answered questions the Board had asked at the <br />meeting of April 19 (copy of memo attached to these minutes). <br />Mr. Paulissen stated that staff's opinion is that the majority <br />of the specifications for a special use permit have been met, <br />and that staff recommendation, based on these facts, is that <br />the special use permit be granted. A memo from the Engineering <br />Department was reviewed and the fact noted that the City might <br />not close the street involver. <br />Detailed discussion regarding drainage, street closing, pro- <br />posed facility plans, chemicals involved, truck routes, road <br />paving, etc., was held. <br />
