O <br />0 <br />•c <br />E <br />is <br />PAGE 3 <br />TYPE OF RELIEF BEING SOUGHT: <br />McDonald's requests a Special Exception under the terms of <br />Section 11-605.2.a of the City of La Porte's Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 1501, <br />THE GROUNDS FOR THE REQUEST: <br />The La Porte State Bank sign, commonly known as GUS, is a leaal <br />pre-existing non -conforming use. Section 11-602.2.a of the La Porte's <br />Zoning Ordinance allows, (subject to the granting of a Special <br />Exception)a non -conforming use to be reconstructed on the same lot <br />of record. McDonald's feels the relocation of GUS will constitute <br />such a reconstruction. <br />We further believe that such a reconstruction will not adversely <br />affect the value or use of surrounding property, nor will it be <br />contrary to the best public interest of the City of La Porte <br />CED/ ? - 187 <br />40 <br />71AO?�- <br />pak&a� � she — <br />
