There were no public comments. Mayor Helton closed the <br />public hearing at 6:35 p.m. <br />was adopted. 9-0. <br />b. Dangerous Building - 201 N. 3rd St. - The City Council will hold a public <br />hearing to receive comment on the adoption of Ordinance 2024-4009, <br />ordering the condemnation of a dangerous/substandard structure located at <br />201 N. 3rd St., La Porte, Texas; followed by discussion and possible action <br />to adopt Ordinance 2024-4009, ordering the condemnation of <br />dangerous/substandard structure located at 201 N. 3rd St., La Porte, Texas. <br />[Richard Glass, Chief Building Official] <br />Mayor Helton opened the public hearing at 6:37 p.m. Mr. Glass provided an <br />update, noting a demolition permit has been received by the owner. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to accept a certification of <br />unopposed candidates for the May 3, 2026, General Election for the City of <br />La Porte, Texas. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary/PIO] <br />Mayor Pro Tern Engelken moved to accept a certification of unopposed candidates <br />for the May 3 2025 General Election Councilperson Williams seconded the <br />motion the motion was adopted. 9-0. <br />b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2025-4061, <br />cancelling certain races of the May 3, 2025, General Election and declaring <br />the unopposed candidates elected. <br />
