Contract No _____________ <br />H. <br />The City agrees to provide advance notification to HCPID prior to any proposed installation <br />of intersection related EVP equipment and/or software. <br />I. <br />The City agrees to provide advance notification to HCPID prior to any proposed modification <br />of intersection related EVP equipment and/or software. <br />J. <br />The City agrees that installation of intersection related EVP equipment and/or software will <br />occur only in the presence of a County employee designated by the County Engineer. <br />K. <br />The City agrees that during activities related to the installation of intersection related EVP <br />equipment and/or software, direction from the County employee designated by the County <br />Engineer as having responsible charge SHALL be followed. <br />L. <br />The City agrees that the County may install EVP intersection equipment, servers, and <br />intersection software provided by theCity. <br />M. <br />The City agrees that configuration of all EVP system components and software that are <br />used to modify traffic signal timing parameters shall be performed exclusively by or under <br />the direction and supervision of the County. <br />ARTICLE 4. COMPENSATION <br />No compensation shall be paid for this agreement. <br />ARTICLE5.INTEGRATION <br />A. <br />The City agrees that the County staff would be allowed to remotely manage the system <br />through the existing Houston TranStar (EVP System) and the County ITS Communications <br />network. <br />B. <br />Considerations for system deployment include: <br />-The ability to remotely manage the system through Houston TranStar communications <br />networks and computer systems would be provided. <br />-The ability of the proposed EVP equipment to be integrated into existing County systems. <br />ARTICLE 6.SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br />A. <br />Considerations for system deployment included: <br />-The City's commitment to adhere to the process of operating, maintaining, and <br />troubleshooting system components. <br />-The Cityagrees to supply replacement equipment in response to EVP system <br />component malfunctions in a manner that is timely as possible. <br />B. <br />The Cityagrees that the County would be able to inactivate all or part of the EVP System in <br />the event that the deployment does not meet the requirements upon which the deployments <br />were based. <br />C. <br />The City agrees that the County would have no responsibility for maintenance of the EVP <br />infrastructure. <br />D. <br />The City agrees that, as a condition of continued operation of the EVP System, the City <br />would procure, support,operate, and maintain all System and Network components in a <br />manner that would initiate requests for emergency vehicle preemption to theCounty traffic <br />signals. Activities specifically covered by this statement include coordination and <br />administration of all procurements associated with: <br />-EVP System software components. <br />-EVP System hardware components. <br />-EVP System networking and/or communications infrastructure. <br />-Vendor services required to make the EVP system operational and function as approved <br />by the County Engineer. <br />Page 3 of 6Revised 12/20/2012 <br /> <br />
