Virginia.,addressedCouncilrepresenting stray animals and thanked Council <br />for the new Animal Shelter and advised he would like the Texas Parks and Wildlife Building to <br />showcase the animals during Christmas on Main Street. Mr. Rosa also addressed Council <br />regarding the recently approved Conflict of Interest and EthicsOrdinance and suggested a $2,500 <br />penalty and sixmonths in jail for the first violation. <br />Lois Rogerson, 10319 Belfast, thanked Council for refurbishing the pool in her subdivision. <br />JoAnn Pitzer, 10011 Carlow Ln., thanked Council for voting in favor ofimprovingthe pool and <br />basketball court in her subdivision,in addition to replacing a couple of stop signs. <br />Lloyd Frazier, 10322 Shell Rock Rd., thanked Council for their good work in La Porte and informed <br />Council the pool in Fairmont Park is in need of refurbishing. <br />th <br />Donald Thorsen, 1250 S. 13,addressed Council in support for Bay Area Houston Convention and <br />Visitors Bureauand encouraged continuedfunding ofthe City’s membership. <br />16 <br />Page of <br />August 26, 2013, Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />
